Since its beginnings in 1883, Bodega Trapiche has been known for its relentless pursuit of innovation. The understanding of the land as the most precious asset and the use of the latest technologies to venture into unexplored places, make Trapiche a winery that challenges what we know.
The winery was a pioneer in aspects such as the introduction of French vines, the importation of French oak barrels and the introduction of wines from a micro-terroir.
The exploration of the highest standards in the world of winemaking has led Trapiche to be internationally distinguished on countless occasions. It has been recognised as the most awarded Argentine winery in the world by the WAWWJ during 2016 and in 2017 it received an award for being the most admired Argentine winery in the world, according to the prestigious publication Drinks International.
Since its beginnings, Bodega Trapiche has been in search of new challenges. Its exploratory spirit led it to discover remote and unique sites in which to plant its vines not only in Mendoza, where it found areas of excellent potential for the production of its wines, but also in Chapadmalal, which led it to become the owner of the first oceanic-influenced wines.
The practice of biodynamics involves preserving the natural without using chemical compounds, herbicides or fungicides, calculating the cycles of the moon for the harvest. With it we manage to maintain the balance of the ecosystem, the biological diversity and recover the bacterial activity of the soil.
We believe that in order to continue producing, innovating and educating about our wines, we must respect what nature gives us.
