Torrontés, an exclusive grape variety from Argentina.

Just as Malbec is Argentina’s flagship among red grapes, Torrontés is its most important white grape. This is a variety that is only available in this country and of course in this shop. Torrontés Clásico from the Bodega Valle de la Puerta in La Rioja is a light wine that is excellent as an aperitif. The peculiarity of Torrontés is that you can expect a sweet wine on the nose, but once you have tasted it, we confirm that the opposite is true. Its aromatic palette offers lemon peel, pineapple, but also notes of white flowers. In the mouth it is a bit smooth, with a delicate but noticeable acidity. If summer demands a white wine, this is an ideal option at a highly recommended price. It goes wonderfully with Indian curry or other spicy dishes.
